IT’s 1960 and Mrs. Snustand and Mrs. Gilmerson plan a food booth at the County Fair to raise money; and Mrs. Engelson embarks on a spontaneous driving lesson. In the rural church basement kitchen in the spring, a reformation is underway and your favorite Church Basement Ladies are facing it head-on. Through it all these “bulwarks never failing” stand strong in their faith and in their friendships. With more crazing antics, more great new songs, and more lessons reluctantly learned, the Church Basement Ladies are at it again in their new musical comedy, A MIGHTY FORTRESS (Is Our Basement)! Plans are underway for a group of people from our church(es) to attend a Sunday April 29th performance of this wonderful sounding play! It is in to drive in the cities. We already have more than a dozen people intending to go, so why not join us? There are both men and women going so don’t be shy! We are hoping to attend the 2pm performance depending on availability. Please let Karen Olson know if you would like to attend as soon as possible so that tickets can be purchased. ![]() NEW at EUMC: Birthday Sunday: 1st Sunday of Each Month People who have a birthday that month will be treated to a special birthday treat before church service starting @ 9:30am. Others are invited to come and celebrate as treats and coffee/juice will be provided for all. We are asking for free-will donations as we come together to fight against Malaria as other events for the Imagine No More Malraia are happening throughout the year.
SOUPer Sundays
EUMC will be having SOUPer Sundays during the entire month of February. Everyone in the congregation are invited to bring cans of soup and packages of crackers each Sunday before the church service begins. We will have a display set-up to see our progress. We will also accept cash donations. The total amount raised will be given directly to the WE Food Shelf in Elysian which is one of our local mission projects. Thanks for all your support!
